You, too, can be an artsleuth.
Do you know anything about these works?
title, medium, artist, location, etc.????

This is a rare example of a painting executed and signed by the late Igor Gouzenko, the Soviet clerk who, in 1945, defected in Ottawa and tipped-off  Canadians to the existence of a Soviet spy ring.

The painting is titled "Forbidden Beach" and dated 1946. Do you know anything, e.g., the whereabouts of other paintings or drawings done by Igor Gouzenko, any exhibits he had prior to, or after he was given a new identity, the circumstances under which this or other art work by him was done, etc.?

Here is your chance to be an artsleuth and shed light on the mysterious art career of Igor Gouzenko.
