Brad Nuorala has a MA degree in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has studied at the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis of Art and Design. His work has been exhibited throughout the Mid-West and is included in numerous corporate and private collections, including Honeywell Incorporated, Prudential Insurance Co. Twin Cities Federal Banking and Savings, Anderson Consulting, Twin Cities Dental and the Wiseman Art Museum at University of Minnesota.
His works begins with visual discoveries in various urban environments that he has explored throughout areas of the United States and Europe. He finds inspiration from the surface markings found on sidewalks, facades of old and new buildings, doorways and loading docks, along with pavement, roadways, railroad crossings, and pedestrian crossings.
As Brad explores the possibilities of creating images from these experiences, he hopes to challenge the viewers to find pictorial unity within the various contrasts and tensions.
