Christina Gschwantner is an independent artist from Vienna. Her pictures open new paths of seeing. This is achieved through a blend of manifold perspectives, while consciously avoiding a fixed and definite view at the same time. Her oeuvre works between the two poles of fantasy and humour. This approach can appear to be naïve at first, but it‘s this same naivety that powerfully expresses a very individual and serious intent.

Her artistic technique strives to achieve a magical transformation of form. Her means are a constant renewing variety of interpretation and experiment, a process which enables the artist to revive and rediscover the principle of play.
