Darren Thompson

Darren Thompson uses subdued colours and loose brush strokes, as in most of his paintings, in order to create the mood and feel of an urban setting.  Art buyers may see a symbolic reference to prominent 20th century American painters like George Bellows, John Sloan, Isabell Bishop, and Edward Hopper. He has participated in a number of awards and shows including Oil Painters of America National Juried Exhibition 2010 and Chicago Artist Coalition Group Show 2008 and more.
