Inma Garcia-Carrasco
Inma Garcia-Carrasco paints human nature: naked, unprotected and pure. She portrays the raw human vulnerability, feeling exposed yet, at the same time, battling against their own emotions and struggles. Painting and creating through art give her the opportunity of living many lives in one. She was trained at Facultad de Bellas Artes in Seville, Spain, a very traditional art school. It was there that she learned how to draw and understand colour and light and their pivotal role in painting.
She has exhibited at Candid Arts, Espacio Gallery and Mall Galleries in London. She was a finalist in the Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize in 2018. With her painting "Desolation I", she won the People's Choice Award at the Hesketh Hubbard Society - Mall Galleries London - 2008. Beyond the UK, she has artworks in private collections in Spain, Luxembourg, Italy and Japan.
