Marion Webber’s art is a visceral connection to nature - balancing exploratory freedom with a reverence for craftsmanship. She seeks out unusual views, broad vistas or intimate spaces. Her desire is to make the ordinary extraordinary.
The artist has been in the creative sector for 40 years. She has degrees in Fine Arts and in Graphic Design. Her work is also strongly influenced by black and white photography. After a 25-year period of running a graphics/advertising company she went back to fine arts; drawing and painting are her true loves. Art is a remedy for the stress of everyday life. Her hope is to give solace to viewers, a place of rest and nurturing.
She has taken part in numerous private and public art shows since 1990. She also teaches fine and applied art courses in Vancouver.
