The poetry of a chalet in a snowy mountain inspired the artist. The abstraction of the landscape becomes readable when it adds an element not only figurative like the chalet and the trees, but at the same time accentuates the poetic atmosphere by placing it at Christmas time. Fanou Montel has used colored grays ranging from blue to its soft complementary orange, in order to bring out the contrast of snow and night, which however remains very clear.
