Norris Yim

Norris Yim is a self-taught painter who born in Hong Kong. Creating a set of portrait with different abstract pigments & heavy colour experimentation to represent the portrait works.

Painting is purely a means of self-presentation, a process of transforming her observation of others and internalizing it as creative inspiration. Painting is her own spiritual satisfaction with loneliness and she uses violence as her painting style to create the emotionally charged raw imagery to enhance the form of portrait. Observation, memory, imagination are the principle aspects of her work.
