Tony A Blue paints to express himself and what is on his mind at the time. His work is usually either abstract expressionistic, some mixed with social commentary, or expressionistic landscapes with a touch of impressionism and an emphasis on the tropics and colour - he uses acrylics and mixed media.

To him, abstract expressionism is letting his imagination run wild like it did back when he was five. Whether objective or non-objective, it's all about lines, marks, splatters, blobs, etc. that push the painting into the expressionist zone.
