Valeria Pesce is an Italian artist who lives in Barcelona, Spain. She studied graphic design in Italy and New York, but since she started painting, it became for her an urgent need. Mostly fascinated by nature, by anything that breathes and palpitates, she started painting human figure. Water and fishes became very important in her work. Water is light, movement and transparency. Fishes, as elusive as life or thoughts, represent the flow of life. Plants and flowers are also used as a natural connection with humans or other animals. She combines all those elements to create her contemporary, suggestive and oneiric paintings. A world in eternal transformation where nothing remains the same. She works using mostly oil on canvas, but also acrylic for some backgrounds and watercolour. She has exhibited in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, England and Slovenia. Her work is collected worldwide.
