Wendy Kwan

Born in Hong Kong, Kwan Hiu Wah Wendy attained a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of HK specializing in Japanese Studies and Fine Art. After 15 years of work in the business sector, she picked up the brush again in 2015. With a ‘why-not’ attitude, she ventured into visual arts as a full-time career in 2017. Over the past few years, she has showcased in HK, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Anhui, Italy, the U.S.

She loves using subtle expressions with simple or even mono colour to depict bigger concepts and deep meanings. Her art connects her with her inner self; thus she could understand herself more through reading her own work. Most of her works reveal her pursuit of spiritual development, related to philosophies of life and touched on social issues. She hopes her art could create conversation within audiences, and build a room of peace and silence inside their hearts.
