Zara Oskar born in 1987 in Russia. She is a passionate visual artist and art teacher. She currently lives and works in Hong Kong.
She started with oil painting and realised that working quickly could give her stroke more momentum and dynamic. With the discovery of acrylics she has acknowledged not only the meticulousness and “heavy” art of oil painting but also the “light” and rapid technique. “I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for.”
Since 2012, the artist has exhibited her work for a few times in Russia. She enjoys hearing back from people who have bought her works, knowing that such an item will have an important place in the life of someone else.
