Kindly allow 4 – 6 weeks for response. Please do not send us the artwork directly for review unless requested. In cases where Art Sleuth may not have the prospective audience for your particular work, we will recommend an alternative instead.

AGREEMENT
You will need to sign our exclusive Seller’s Agreement before selling your artwork with Art Sleuth. The agreement will outline the exact details of arrangement and the payment terms for the services provided by Art Sleuth.
SHIPPING AND INSURANCE
As the consignor, you will be responsible for packing, shipping and insurance charges. We will help arrange to have your item delivered to our office and put you in contact with local courier. We will confirm your property to be in good condition and appropriate for our platform.
Value-added tax (VAT) and additional charges, if any, will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
GLOBAL REACH
We will make sure that the artwork is seen by the right people. Our specialists will market your property to prospective collectors worldwide.
PRICING AND PAYMENT
Art Sleuth standard seller’s commission is 15% of the net sale amount. Any charges for external services will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
When the artwork is sold, the payment will be sent to your account within 35 days from the date of sale, provided we are in receipt of the buyer’s payment. You will receive your settlement statement for the sale.

Is requesting an artwork estimate from Art Sleuth free?
Art Sleuth is pleased to offer provisional estimates free of charge only for items which we consider to be appropriate for Art Sleuth.
Do my items need to be appraised or authenticated prior to submission?
No, Art Sleuth does not necessarily require this information prior to the initial review.
What if I don’t have a photo of my work?
Unfortunately, we cannot proceed to estimate and value your artwork without first reviewing the images of your submission. Please contact us at consignments@artsleuth.com regarding any image submission matters.
How is pricing determined?
Our specialists will first estimate the value of your artwork based on the image of your submission and previous auction records of comparable works. The condition and provenance of your artwork will also contribute to determining its estimated value. The initial range of estimates we provide are only provisional and subject to change upon its arrival at the office and further examination of the artwork.
When providing the estimates for your work, our specialists will discuss and work with you to establish a mutually agreed price.
How can I ensure that my work doesn’t sell at too low a price?

Can I sell my items elsewhere?
We have a 12-month exclusive agreement on your listing. This exclusivity maximises the likelihood of the sale of your artwork as the most compelling piece that buyers can’t find anywhere else except here.
Can I remove the item before one-year mark?
Yes, we have a minimum exclusivity period of 30 days. If you wish to remove the item early before the 30-day mark, you will be charged 20% of the list price.
What is the Seller’s commission when a work is sold?
The Seller’s commission is based on the estimates of the work. Our specialists will advise on the Seller’s commission for your particular work and/or collection. Art Sleuth standard Seller’s commission is 15% of the net sale amount.

Although your artwork may fall within the categories on Art Sleuth platform, we may not have the prospective audience for the particular artwork, in which case we will recommend an alternative that will be beneficial for the type of your artwork.
