I am a wilderness of flowers, called blue cornflower. I love the atmosphere and the sky. I dot beautiful earth. I like the blue sky. Do not look at my small stature. I also use my beauty to dress up the fields, ridge and the mountainside. I am happy cornflower. The body has no thorn.
Wietzie created Blue Cornflower with a palette knife, using a variety of marking techniques. This sumptuous textured surface gives life to her abstractions.
Her painting is of an imaginary landscapes full of mystery, movement, stability and strength. She is inspired by the works of JMW Turner for his use of colour and Nicolas de Stael for his simplistic landscapes.
