This piece uses layers of acrylic paint and paper collage of vintage nautical maps to achieve a rhythm and balance that is pleasing to the eye. The colours that border on one another are carefully chosen and layered in order to create a slight tension with overall harmony. The artist created texture using plaster and cardboard. He coated the final piece with several layers of matte medium and finish it with a matte layer of varnish.
