Dance 26 : Ice Storm
The original drawing was created with pen on paper. The coloration phase of the work was completed by creating several copies of the sketch and then coloring the background using colored pencils. In this particular case, the coloration phase was guided by photographs. The artist had taken of an azalea bush that was just beginning to flower when an ice storm hit. The transfer of the original design to canvas was accomplished with a computer projector, projecting the original drawing onto the blank canvas whereby it could be redrawn at the proper size to fit the dimensions of the canvas.
The sides are painted in dark green.
