Flowers at your Feet
“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.” ― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
Wietzie was inspired by the work of JMW Turner and Nicolas de Stael. Turner for his use of color and De Stael for the simplicity of his abstract landscapes.
Wietzie created this painting with a palette knife which resulted in a surface full of small stipples of paint. This decadent surface of texture brings her abstraction to life.
The sides are painted in purple.
