"Mariot II" explores the assimilation of aerosol painting, charring and sanding techniques on wood. This ethereal and atmospheric painting solicits our visual perception by suggesting a discoverable lattice of motifs emerging out of defacement and obscuration. The evanescent color palette in this piece is neutral with subtle hues of skin tones, light pink, sand color, rich browns, siennas, highlighted with sfumato white.
