Memories from a non-existing landscape I
When I am painting nature and landscapes, I always paint from memory. The changes of seasons, rain, wind, thunderstorms, oceans and skies. Huge forests, tall mountains, rivers and ponds are collected as treasures in my memory and brought back with me to my studio.
The painting contains fragments of different encounters I had with nature, and can be looked at as a collage of several occasions I observed at different times and places.
That is why I like to see my paintings as images of non-existing landscapes.
