Memories from a non-existing landscape II
When the artist paints nature and landscapes, he always paints from memory. The changes of seasons, rain, wind, thunderstorms, oceans and skies. Huge forests, tall mountains, rivers and ponds are collected as treasures in his memory and brought back with him to his studio.
The painting contains fragments of different encounters he had with nature, and can be looked at as a collage of several occasions he observed at different times and places.
That is why he likes to see his paintings as images of non-existing landscapes.
