This painting is one in a series of English landscape paintings, looking at a year in Kent, where the artist lives and works. There are lots of coppiced trees and woodland in her neighbourhood. This painting is inspired by fall, and the gorgeous colours we see when leaves turn, fall from the trees and carpet the ground.
