The Coronavirus has changed everything. The way we see the world. Our interactions with others. How we go about our daily lives. I wanted to create something that wasn't necessarily bleak because I do believe that on the horizon, good things are ahead of us. I decided to return to my on-going homage to Magritte, using the man in the bowler hat as part of the visual with him on the far right of the painting while on the far left, there is a woman, also with her back turned to us. Both are looking out across the sea at mountains and a bluish-purplish sky with the moon serving as a triangulation point. The distance between the two serves as a visual metaphor for Social Distancing.
