"South night" is a semi abstract contemporary landscape by with pink, orange and blue-violet color blocks.
This piece is a part of the series "Imaginary landscape" - a reflection on the canvas of an imaginary, "inner" landscape. It was a part of the show "Stazis" at AG Gallery Moscow (Winzawod) (former Artis Gallery) in 2019.
In this series, my intent was to work with fairly large color blocks, while maintaining the texture due to the multi-layered application of paint. Color blocks are delimited by dark lines that create the structure of the landscape and outline the conditional Heaven and Earth.
It is covered with protective UV varnish.
