The Concrete Jungle
This painting takes a view down Lexington Avenue in New York City with the famous Chrysler Building standing tall amidst the other skyscrapers and turns it into a surrealistic vision where a canopy of trees has overtaken the street and stretches far off into the distance. The rigidy of the buildings, combined with the looseness of the trees creates an interesting juxtaposition. The sky is turbulent yet the horizon shows a glimmer of brightness. It's New York City like you've never seen it before. Definitely a strange painting for these strange times!
