During this time of isolation and reflection, the artist has found an added value in the concept of minimalism. He generally tries to eliminate as much clutter in his life as possible anyway, but there's nothing like a pandemic to show us all how much excess we live with on a daily basis, especially in the U.S. He wanted this piece to be a reflection of the beauty in simplicity.
Right now many of us are struggling, and often times we don't notice it in others. He constantly reminds himself that we are all working through this pain together, and in our own ways. The struggle in others may be subtle, so next time you feel like screaming at someone... remember you don't know the pain they may be dealing with.
