This painting is inspired by a collection of buildings in Milan. She was drawn to the architecture and colours of the buildings in this area and wanted to capture it in a painting. Instead of painting the perspective of the buildings, she overlaid them to create a depth of colour and tone. The depth in this painting is very subtle and new shapes appear the more you look at it.
