This painting is a continuing part of my Japanese series based on the symbols of the edo period: the kimonos, birds, fish. I was fascinated by the lovely clothes, gardens, and ponds and decided to include these symbols through dreamspace, eliminating painting them in a more conventional landscape. This way, I can be more playful and focus more on pattern, color, and design.
